Total Security Solution in Staffordshire utilises two different types of patrol clocking systems, 'Co-Guard 1000' and 'Opticon OPN 2001'. Both systems used allow the customer to monitor the time and dates that strategic points around site(s) have been visited by security officers. Numbered or named points are attached around the site at the request of contract managers to ensure officers patrol certain areas of the site(s) at random or specified times.

Numbered points (up to 250) are attached to areas around the site(s). When officers arrive at these points, they simply hold the data collector to the point, the time, date and point number are logged automatically. These can then be later printed at patrol end or at the contract manager's discretion. The handheld reader is both impact resistant and waterproof, therefore protecting the stored data.

Opticon OPN 2001

Total Security Solutions in Staffordshire have utilised a barcode scanner used in retail stores for pricing, etc, to offer a more cost effective Patrol Clocking system. The Opticon features a 512k memory, which will store securely thousands of data reads. It features a USB interface that can be connected to any PC or laptop therefore giving instant access to the stored data. The security system offers a real-time clock to show the time and date at which the points had been scanned. The system uses 'barcode points' (same as product packaging), offering a variety of ways to 'name' the points, i.e. 'gatehouse 1' 'Transport entrance' or just simply numbered.

With both the systems, Total Security Solutions will come on to site and install the system as requested by contract managers. We will also provide training should it be required. These systems can be monitored by site staff or by Total Security Solutions personnel.

This security system's main features and benefits are:

Cogard 1000 Electronic guard tour checkpoint system.

Our unique Cogard system allows you monitor the time and dates, which strategic points around your site(s) have been visited by security personnel.

Numbered wall points (up to 250) are attached at these points and when employees reach them, they simply hold their hand held data collector to the wall point and the number and time and date are logged automatically.

These wall points are proximity and non-contact, meaning the reader does not actually have to touch the wall point to read it. This means that the points can be situated outdoors and will operate in any weather.

The hand held reader is waterproof and impact resistant, to protect stored data. When convenient, it can then be downloaded to the base station and employee tour reports produced and the hand reader charged.
